\n\nG\u00f3mez-Acebo & Pombo has advised Siemens Gamesa on the sale of its stake in Windar Renovables to the British fund Bridgepoint.

\r\nIn its 16-year history, Windar Renovables has grown and evolved to become a global leader in the manufacture of wind turbine towers. In addition, Windar is the only company in the world with experience in the manufacture of all the different types of substructures for the offshore wind industry in use today: monopiles, jackets, transition pieces, as well as floating substructures (both semi-submersible and spars), with a project portfolio that includes some of the most emblematic offshore wind farms in Europe and the United States. Founded in 2007 and headquartered in Avil\u00e9s (Asturias), Windar Renovables has ten production plants serving five continents – seven of them located in Spain and the remaining three in Brazil, India and Mexico.
