\n\nG\u00f3mez-Acebo & Pombo has advised Intrum on the acquisition of the Spanish asset management platform Haya Real Estate from Cerberus for \u00a4140 million.
\r\n
\r\nThis transaction expands Intrum’s strong franchise in Spain, one of its core markets and second most profitable country, addresses one of its strategic priorities set out for 2023 “Grow and Transform” and accelerates its commercial development while strengthening the business of providing secured lending and asset management services to key clients.
\r\n
\r\nThe closing of the transaction will be completed in the third quarter subject to the approval of the National Markets and Competition Commission in Spain and the formal cancellation of the existing guarantees on the company’s shares and assets.
\r\n
\r\nThis transaction confirms the leadership of G\u00f3mez-Acebo & Pombo’s team in the management and sale of non-performing assets (NPEs) in Spain.

\r\nAugusto Pi\u00f1el, Valentina Rodr\u00edguez, Sergio G\u00f3mez and Miren Ib\u00e1\u00f1ez, partner, of counsel and associates of Mercantil respectively, have advised on the transaction.
