\n\nG\u00f3mez-Acebo & Pombo advises Cubico Sustainable Investments, a world leader in the renewable energy sector, on the acquisition of a 13 MW solar project in operation in Portugal.
\r\nCubico Sustainable Investments is a subsidiary of the Ontario Teachers\u2019 Pension Plan, one of the world\u2019s largest pension plans, and PSP Investments, one of Canada\u2019s largest pension fund managers.
\r\n
\r\nThe Cabrela solar project, which will be acquired from Neoen, a French independent renewable energy producer, brings Cubico\u2019s operational portfolio in the Iberian Peninsula to nearly 600 MW, with a further 250 MW in development.
\r\n
\r\nThe transaction was coordinated by Mafalda Barreto, partner of the corporate and M&A department, and Luisa Carrilho da Gra\u00e7a, responsible for the Energy area. This transaction was also supported by a multidisciplinary team made up by the lawyers Filipe Santos Barata (Of Counsel), In\u00eas Sousa Godinho (senior associate), Henrique Lopes Valente and Leonor Rocha (associates); Sofia Barbosa Pi\u00e7arra (trainee lawyer in the Corporate and M&A department); Sofia Rodrigues Nunes (Of Counsel of the Town Planning department); Jo\u00e3o Marques Rodrigues (Urban planning and energy associate); Jos\u00e9 Silva Nunes, Afonso Scarpa and Francisca Caeiro Bastos (senior associate and associates of the Real Estate department).
