\n\nG\u00f3mez-Acebo & Pombo has advised the Cabify Group in a contentious-administrative proceeding before the High Court of Justice of the Community of Madrid regarding the guarantee of the unity of the market, whose judgment is pioneering for the provision of last mile delivery services of small goods in passenger cars dedicated to the activity of passanger vehicles (in spanish VTC).
\r\n
\r\nThe judgement, which settles the alleged rejection of a complaint regarding market unity, concludes that the delivery service launched by the Cabify Group after the outbreak of the pandemic complies with the land transport use regulations, declaring null and void the injunctions to cease this activity issued by the Community of Madrid as soon as it began to be offered on the market.
\r\n
\r\nThis judgement gives a boost to the delivery service launched by the Cabify Group, and provides legal certainty to a business model that, due to its innovation and for favouring competition, had been questioned by various operators and public administrations.
