G\u00f3mez-Acebo & Pombo (GA_P) strengthens its Insurance and Pension Funds practice with the addition of Pablo Muelas as coordinating partner for the area.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Pablo has extensive experience in regulatory and corporate law in the insurance and reinsurance sector. As an active State Insurance Inspector, he has been Deputy Director General of Insurance and Regulation at the Directorate General of Insurance and Pension Funds (DGSFP), a national expert at the European Commission, and a representative of the Administration on the boards of insurance companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the private sector, he has advised national and international insurers on corporate transactions and strategic alliances, participated in the creation of multi-jurisdictional insurance structures, designed and updated insurance products, advised on litigation involving insurance contracts, arbitrated in reinsurance disputes, participated in innovative insurance distribution models, and advised underwriting agencies and Insurtech companies. Finally, Pablo regularly assists in authorisation and supervision proceedings before the DGSFP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pablo is recognised by the most prestigious international legal directories, such as Chambers & Partners and Legal 500.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His appointment is in line with the firm’s objective of continuing to strengthen its Insurance group, which also includes Ana Mart\u00ednez-Pina, as coordinating partner for Financial Regulation, and a group of partners and associates from different practice areas, who provide cross-cutting legal advice on all matters relating to insurance and reinsurance companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
