G\u00f3mez-Acebo & Pombo has advised the Austrian listed company Andritz AG on its acquisition of the Salico Group, a company specialized in the design and manufacture of finishing equipment for flat metal strips, with operations in Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, the United States, and India<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The agreement signed by Andritz, which has annual revenues of over \u20ac8 billion, strengthens its strategy to expand its global presence and enhance its technology portfolio in the downstream segment, which is key for industries such as steel and aluminum. The transaction is expected to close in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The GA_P team was led by M\u00f3nica Weimann, partner in the Corporate\/M&A team, together with Cristina S\u00e1nchez Weickgenannt and Guillermo Men\u00e9ndez Herrero, associates. They were supported, among others, by Delia Casta\u00f1os, Iratze Arrigain Garc\u00eda, Paula Garc\u00eda Cuevas, and Andrea Gonz\u00e1lez-Novo, associates from the Labour, Intellectual Property, Public Law, and Banking & Finance teams, respectively.
