G\u00f3mez-Acebo & Pombo’s social commitment is evident in the tenth edition of the Expansi\u00f3n Jur\u00eddico Awards, which recognise some of the most significant pro bono initiatives in the Spanish legal sector.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In collaboration with CESIDA, a multidisciplinary team from the Firm comprising M\u00f3nica Matas, Yago Fern\u00e1ndez, Miguel \u00c1ngel Garc\u00eda Otero, associate and senior associates from the Public Law and Regulated Sectors area, achieved a groundbreaking ruling that overturned a decision by the DGT (Spanish Traffic Authority) that unjustifiably restricted the renewal of a driving licence for a person with HIV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This initiative, which promotes non-discrimination and equal treatment, reinforces the transformative role of law and the social involvement of the legal profession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
