G\u00f3mez-Acebo & Pombo has advised A&G Sustainable Infrastructure on its investment in the company Regeneraqua, whose purpose is to promote, from the private sector, projects for the production and supply of reclaimed water from wastewater treatment plants.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The Firm also provides ongoing regulatory advice to society for the development of these projects, pioneers in the private sector, in accordance with the new regulatory framework established by the Water Reuse Regulation, approved by Royal Decree 1085\/2020, a regulation that recognizes for the first time in our legal system the possibility for private operators to provide the service of producing and supplying reclaimed water to end users and charge for said services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This operation constitutes an innovative initiative for the development of circular economy projects by the private sector in a sector heavily influenced by the government, such as the provision of water supply services.

The GA_P team was led by Estibaliz Aranburu and Irantzu Aguirre from the Corporate team; Roc\u00edo Arias and John Galilea from the Tax team; and Carlos V\u00e1zquez, Eduardo Orteu, and Fernando Trigo from the Public and Regulated Sectors team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
