The labour reform is beginning to show its first consequences in terms of redundancies, with restrictions on subcontracting after collective redundancies.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Madalena, a partner in the Labour Law department at G\u00f3mez-Acebo & Pombo, recalls that the measure sparked strong opposition from businesses, despite its limited application, and pointed out that its eventual elimination could reconfigure the balance between business flexibility and labour protection, emphasising: \u2018The law needs time to mature, be assimilated and understood by its target audience.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
