Nuno Gomes

Nuno is counsel in the Employment department of Gómez‑Acebo & Pombo.    

He is specialised in employment law and provides legal advice to national entities, including private companies and state‑owned enterprises. He regularly advises on matters relating to human resources management, employment contracts, termination of employment relationships and employment litigation. 

He holds a Law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra and has completed the academic phase of a master’s degree in Employment Law, as well as a postgraduate qualification in Employment Law, at the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University of Portugal. He began his professional career practising employment law and has held positions as associate, senior associate, consultant and principal associate in leading law firms, having worked continuously within employment law departments for more than two decades. 

Throughout his professional career, he has acquires extensive experience in the drafting of employment contracts, handling proceedings, preparing legal opinions and advising corporate processes, collective dismissals and employment disputes.

He has participated as author and co‑author of articles and publications in specialised journals and is a regular speaker at conferences and webcasts in the field of employment law.
