“Regulatory rigidity, and the cost it generates for companies that promote teleworking and do not want to open an office in Spain, has led to many foreign workers who are providing services from Spain in an irregular situation. In other words, they are employed by the company in their country of origin and receive a salary from it without paying Spanish social security contributions,” Borja adds.
