GA_P advises MARI on the acquisition of the Mutua Madrid Open
Gómez-Acebo & Pombo has advised MARI, the new international events and experiences company, with Ariel Emanuel as lead investor, on the acquisition of the Mutua Madrid Open from International Management Group (IMG).
The acquisition forms part of a multijurisdictional transaction that also involved the transfer of the ATP Masters 1000 Miami Open, two WTA 1000 tournaments and other flagship WTA events. Through this deal, MARI reflects its long-term vision of building a global and dynamic portfolio of events, focused on sports, with the Mutua Madrid Open as one of its flagship assets.
