GA_P advises SotySolar on a financing of over €100m granted by Crédit Agricole CIB for its SuscripciónSolar model
Gómez-Acebo & Pombo has advised SotySolar, a Spanish renewable energy company backed by Marguerite and Plenium Partners as majority shareholders, on a financing granted by Crédit Agricole CIB in an amount exceeding €100 million to scale its SuscripciónSolar model for self-consumption in homes and businesses.
The financing has been structured through a securitisation fund, MidReal Fondo de Titulización.
The SuscripciónSolar model is designed to facilitate access to self-consumption through deferred payment solutions for solar energy installations, batteries, aerothermal systems and electric vehicle chargers. The company expects this initiative to help accelerate the adoption of renewable energy among households, SMEs and large corporations by removing financial barriers and enabling easier access to solar energy.
The GA_P team was led by partners Fernando Herrero and Diego Martínez Colino from the Banking & Finance and Corporate practices, respectively, with the support of José Francisco Canalejas and Irene Medina de Alba, counsel and associate in the Banking & Finance team.
