GA_P promotes inclusion in law through the Ilunion Legal Academy | Cinco Días
The firm highlights talent as a cornerstone for integrating lawyers with disabilities and reinforces its commitment to equal opportunities in the legal sector.
The Ilunion Legal Academy is establishing itself as a pioneering initiative to promote training and employability for people with disabilities within the legal field. In this context, Gómez-Acebo & Pombo stands out for its active involvement in fostering a more inclusive model of law practice, grounded in talent and equal opportunity.
Carlos Vázquez, partner in the Public Law department and coordinator of the firm’s disability committee, emphasises that Gómez-Acebo & Pombo exceeds the legal minimum for hiring people with disabilities and maintains a particular sensitivity to the barriers to employment in the legal sector. This commitment is reflected, among other initiatives, in collaboration with Rey Juan Carlos University on a legal assistant course for people with intellectual disabilities.
One of the students from the first cohort joined the firm after completing the programme and later passed public service exams, exemplifying the positive impact of these projects. For Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, inclusion is not merely a regulatory matter but a conviction: talent should open every door in the legal profession.
