Gómez-Acebo & Pombo promotes two new counsels
Gómez-Acebo & Pombo has promoted José Antonio Gómez Calafat and Alicia Olaso Camañas to Counsels in the Litigation and Corporate and M&A teams, respectively.
José Antonio Gómez Calafat specialises in all types of proceedings related to insolvency matters, ranging from insolvency proceedings to the approval and court endorsement of restructuring plans in pre-insolvency stages. He also has extensive experience in handling civil litigation.
He holds a degree in Law from the University of Valencia and a Master’s in Corporate Legal Advice from the Fundación Universidad-Empresa of the University of Valencia.
Alicia Olaso Camañas has broad experience in corporate and real estate transactions, including the acquisition and disposal of a wide range of assets such as shopping centres, offices, hotels, logistics and industrial assets, residential properties, and development land. She also advises on corporate and structured finance transactions, including acquisition and asset finance (mainly real estate and photovoltaic projects) as well as debt restructuring processes.
She holds a degree in Law from Universidad Cardenal Herrera-CEU San Pablo in Valencia, a Master’s in Corporate Legal Advice (IE Business School, Madrid), and an International Executive MBA from the Louvain School of Management in Belgium.
The new counsels will strengthen their respective practice areas and contribute to the continued growth of the firm.
