Ignacio del Fraile and Lourdes Escassi on labor reform and the ways to overcome the pressure of inflation on salaries | El Economista

El Economista reports today in its article on labor reform and rising wages the testimony offered by Ignacio del Fraile and Lourdes Escassi, partner and senior associate of Employment, at the Breakfast organized in the Madrid office to discuss issues such as labor reform and formulas to circumvent the pressure of inflation on salaries.

Regarding wage guarantee clauses, Ignacio Del Fraile points out that “they only affect 25% of workers subject to collective bargaining agreements, but he stresses that most of them refer to the general CPI, which in September reached 8.9%. None do so to the underlying, which excludes energy and other more volatile products in the basket, and which stands at 6.2%.”

The article in El Economista continues: “For this reason, Gómez Acebo & Pombo recommends “not to accept wage revision clauses without a cap”.
