Miguel Lamo de Espinosa talks about the role of Banking after the Insolvency Act | El Confidencial
Banks are moving to lead the restructuring plans of companies and thus avoid the heavy write-offs that some judgements are endorsing under the Bankruptcy Law.
‘While it is true that in the first operations following the reform, funds have taken a leading role, the position is changing and we are seeing banks taking active positions, with a deep knowledge of the regulation and the tools it provides,’ says Miguel Lamo de Espinosa, partner and coordinator of Restructuring and Special Situations.
