Pablo Fernández Cortijo comments in Capital & Corporate on the reactivation and growth of Private Equity and M&A in 2025.

On a general level, there is no clear market upturn. Figures seem to point to a very slight growth in M&A activity for 2024, particularly in private equity. With the exception of some attractive assets, deals are becoming longer and more uncertain, with a high number of abortions. They are also requiring more creative solutions to close down.

“Despite this, at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo we have managed to maintain a good number of transactions throughout 2024, and we have been fortunate enough to participate in some of the most important private equity and M&A deals of the year” said Pablo Fernández Cortijo.
