The Labour Inspectorate focuses its objectives for 2023 on false self-employment and the registration of working time | El Confidencial

El Confidencial, in its article, talks about the main objectives that the Labor Inspection has set for itself in 2023. Our partner in the Labor department, Carlos de la Torre, analyzes the agency’s focus on the fight against precariousness and the guarantee of employment quality.

Carlos points out that “false independent workers will be one of the main focuses, a matter of particular relevance for organizations since a reform of the Penal Code was approved last December to punish companies that abuse this figure.”

Regarding time registration, he emphasizes: “Inspections will not only aim to verify if the company has a counting system for hours, but also to focus on verifying that the information collected is accurate. They are checking emails and other server data to ensure that they are not doing more overtime than they declare.”
