Álvaro is a senior associate of Banking and Finance at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo.

He has specialised in complex debt restructurings, direct lending, syndicate financings, project finance, real estate finance, cross-border financings and debt analysis and distressed debt transactions.

He has a Law Degree and a diploma in Business Studies from Pontifical University of Comillas – ICADE, (Spain). He has also received an LL.M from the New York University (USA). He has been international associate (secondment) at Milbank, LLP in London (UK). Álvaro is admitted to practice in Spain and in New York.

He has participated as author or coauthor in several specialised legal publications.
