Rais Amils
Rais is an Intellectual Property partner at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo.
She specialises in advising on industrial and intellectual property litigation, trademarks, designs, unfair competition and competition law and the European Union, both nationally and internationally.
She holds a degree in Law from the Pompeu Fabra University (Spain) with distinction, Rais has a master’s degree in European Law from the College of Europe and completed a Diploma of Advanced Studies at the University of Barcelona (Spain). She also regularly lectures on competition and industrial property law from the ISDE Law Business School and at the Barcelona Bar Association. For many years, she has worked as a partner in prestigious national and international law firms, consolidating her extensive experience in the legal sector.
Rais has a distinguished career of more than 20 years in industrial property, intellectual property and technology law, during which she has advised leading companies in numerous sectors, especially in complex matters such as the representation of innovative companies in the pharmaceutical sector in the defence of their patents.
She has been recognised as one of the leading professionals in the Spanish market in her sector and is also highlighted in prestigious legal directories such as IP Stars Euromoney in the category of Notable Practitioner, in Leaders League such as Health & Pharmaceutical Industry, Patent Litigation and Trademark litigation and in IAM Patent 1000 as a professional expert in Litigation.
She has participated as a speaker at numerous conferences and seminars on industrial and intellectual property law matters, such as at the International Association for the Protection of Industrial Property (AIPPI), the Centre for the Study for the Promotion of Research (CEFI) and the University of Barcelona. She is author and co-author of numerous legal publications specialising in matters relating to competition law and industrial and intellectual property law.
