Irene is a partner of Litigation and Arbitration at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo.

She holds a double Law and Business Administrationa from Comillas Pontifical University – ICADE E-3. She specialised in Insolvency law at the Pontifical Comillas University and had an advanced course in Arbitration at the IE Business School.

She has been a lecturer in various insolvency and litigation programmes (Madrid Bar Association, Universidad Carlos III, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Universidad San Pablo CEU) and she currently an officer in the Litigation Committee of the International Bar Association and was awarded the InspiraLaw Top 50 Women award in 2018 by Iberian Lawyer.

She has participated as an author in several specialised legal publications.

She joins Gómez-Acebo & Pombo in 2018 and become a partner in 2022.

Guadalupe is a Tax partner at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo.

She represents high net worth individuals and families, with particular focus on sophisticated tax and estate planning matters and the structuring of cross-border family business affairs. She frequently advises on tax residence matters and assists families and individuals in their relocation to Spain. She has experience with a broad range of international tax and estate planning matters, including the taxation of more complex asset holding structures, such as trusts, private foundations, etc.

She is ranked at the prestigious legal directory, Chambers & Partners in its section dedicated to HNWI- Private Wealth and in Who&Who Legal Private Client, as one of the leading lawyers in this field in Spain. In addition, by peer nomination, she is included in the Private Client Global Elite directory as an outstanding international Private Wealth advisor. Guadalupe is also an academician of the prestigious International Academy of Estate and Trust Law and a member of the Academy’s nominating committee for LATAM.

With more than 25 years’ experience in this area of practice, Filipa has a recognised track record in civil, commercial, and corporate litigation, as well as insolvency and restructuring.

Filipa has extensive experience in highly complex cases involving multiple jurisdictions, including Switzerland, Luxembourg, and Brazil. Filipa has been involved in some of the most high-profile restructuring and insolvency cases in recent years.

Ana is a partner of Banking and Finance and Head of Financial Regulatory and Insurance at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo. She is a State Insurance Inspector on leave.

She is a member of the Sustainability Committee of the Institute of Accounting and Auditors Oversight (ICAC) and of the Securities Markets Stakeholder Group (SMSG) of the European Securities Markets Authority (ESMA).

She was Vice-Chair of the Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) from 2016 until 2020. During her mandate as Vice-Chair of the CNMV, she chaired, among other committees, the Financial Reporting Standing Committee of the ESMA as well as its Coordination Network on Sustainability. In addition, Ana was Chair ICAC and Deputy General Director of Accounting Techniques and Standardisation of the same organisation.

She was a Member of the Board of Banco de España of the FROB (Spanish resolution authority for banks and investment firms) and the AMCESFI (Spanish macro prudential authority).

Ana Luísa Guimarães is a partner of Public Law and Regulated Sectors at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo.

She has extensive experience in administrative, public procurement and regulatory law, with a particular focus on infrastructure projects and regulated sectors such as water, waste, energy and mobility, as well as ESG matters. 

Ana Luísa Guimarães has a law degree from the University of Coimbra.
