GA_P advises Banca March on the acquisition of the private banking area of BNP Paribas

Gómez-Acebo & Pombo has advised Banca March on the acquisition of the domestic private banking area of BNP Paribas, together with the 100% of the shares of the fund manager BNP Paribas Asset Management. This has enabled the bank to incorporate BNP Paribas Wealth Management’s High Net Worth and Very High Net Worth business in Spain into its wealth banking area.
The sale and purchase agreement was signed in February 2022 and the transaction required the authorisation of the Spanish Securities Market Commission (CNMV) and the Ministry of Economy and Digital Transformation. The closing of the transaction took place at the end of July 2022.
