GA_P advises the partners of BUSUU on its sale to the listed company CHEGG

Gómez-Acebo & Pombo has advised the partners of BUSUU on its sale to the American education technology company listed on the NYSE, CHEGG. The amount of the acquisition was €385 million, which makes it one of the most relevant exits in the history of the Spanish entrepreneurial ecosystem.
BUSUU is a language learning technology platform with more than 120 million learners located in 160 countries. This acquisition will allow CHEGG to increase its presence in international markets, as well as accelerate BUSUU’s growth in the US market.
The GA_P team has been formed by: Álvaro Mateo, Alba Pérez, Patricia Pérez and Inés López, partner, associates and trainee of Corporate, Borja González and Jesús Tallos, of counsel and associate of Labour, Bárbara Sainz de Vicuña, associate of Industrial Property, Intellectual Property and Technology, Eduardo Martínez-Matosas and Luis Cuesta, partner and associate of Tax and Juan Romero, of counsel of Public.
