GA_P is part of the legal team advising Petersen companies in their recent victory against the Argentine Republic

Gómez-Acebo & Pombo is part of the legal team advising the Trustee of the Petersen companies (Petersen Energía and Petersen Energía Inversora, both in bankruptcy proceedings before the Commercial Court No. 3 of Madrid) in the ongoing judicial proceedings before the Southern District Court of New York, which has resulted in a historic judgment against the Argentine Republic that obliges it to compensate the Petersen companies for the damages suffered as a result of the expropriation of YPF, the former subsidiary of Repsol, by the Kirchner government.
The legal advice provided by the firm has focused on Spanish law issues, both in Spain and in the proceedings before the American court.
