David González
David is a partner of Corporate and M&A at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo. He was Head of our New York office from 2018 to 2022.
He specialises in mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, private equity and venture capital, particularly advising investors and high-growth companies.
He holds a degree in Law and a diploma in Business Law from the Comillas Pontifical University-ICADE (Spain) and completed his doctorate studies in Civil Law – Diploma de Estudios Avanzados – at the Complutense University of Madrid. In addition, he has completed postgraduate studies at IE University (Spain), the Center for American and International Law (Dallas) and Fordham University (New York).
In addition, he did a secondment as a foreing associate at the Brazilian firm Pinheiro Neto Advogados in Sao Paulo and at the international private banking division of Santander Private Banking in Geneva.
David is recognised in the prestigious legal directories Chambers and Partners and Legal 500 as one of the market leaders in the areas of Private Equity and Venture Capital.
He has participated as author and coauthor in several specialised legal publications.
