José Antonio Gómez Calafat
José Antonio is a counsel of Litigation and Arbitration at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo.
He specialises in all types of insolvency proceedings, from insolvency proceedings, with or without the sale of the production unit, to the approval and ratification of restructuring plans in pre-insolvency proceedings.
José Antonio also specialises in the management of civil litigation proceedings.
He holds a Law degree from the University of Valencia (Spain) and a master’s degree in Corporate Legal Consultancy from the University-Business Foundation of the University of Valencia (Spain).
José Antonio has been a lecturer at the master’s degree in Insolvency Law organised by the Madrid Bar Association, at the Insolvency Law Conference of the Stock Market Studies Foundation and at training sessions on insolvency matters held at the Vizcaya Federation of Metal Companies.
He has participated as an author of specialised publications in the Revista General de Insolvencias y Reestructuraciones (General Journal of Insolvency and Restructuring) published by La Ley, in the Anuario de Derecho Mercantil (Commercial Law Yearbook) published by Tirant Lo Blanch, and in the Anuario Contencioso 2025 (Litigation Yearbook 2025) published by La Ley.
