Madalena is counsel and Head of Employment in Lisbon at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo.

Over the years, she has worked in labour law, specialising in matters related to social security and taxation of labour income. She has provided specialised advice on social security matters, in pre-litigation and litigation situations, and on tax matters, especially from the perspective of employment income, including salary processing. She has been particularly involved in matters related to acquisitions, always from a human resources perspective – both in carrying out due diligence processes and in assisting in hiring, transfer of establishment and related matters – as well as in pre-litigation and labour litigation. The advice she provides is transversal to the various sectors of activity, but with a special focus on aeronautics, transport and communications, freight forwarding and the industrial, hotel and retail sectors.

She is recognised in Portugal by several prestigious legal directories such as Legal 500, Best Lawyers, Leaders League and Iberian Lawyer.
