Álvaro is a partner in the Banking and Finance practice at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo.

He has specialised in complex debt restructurings, direct lending, syndicate financings, real estate finance, cross-border financings and debt analysis and distressed debt transactions.

He has a degree in Law and a diploma in Business Studies from the Comillas Pontifical University – ICADE (Spain). He has also received an LL.M from the New York University (USA). He has been international associate (secondment) at Milbank, LLP in London (UK). Álvaro is admitted to practice in Spain and in New York.

He has participated as author or coauthor in several specialised legal publications.
