Gómez-Acebo & Pombo appoints four new partners

Gómez-Acebo & Pombo has appointed Clara Rivero, Diego Martínez Colino, Jorge Martín Sainz and Álvaro Sainz as partners at its ordinary meeting held on Thursday, 18 December. The new appointments reflect the firm’s commitment to internal talent.

Clara Rivero Sans will be a partner at Mercantil and specialises in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, commercial contracts and corporate law. She is also a member of the firm’s French Desk.

Diego Martínez Colino will be a partner at Mercantil and specialises in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), commercial contracts and corporate law, with a particular focus on the energy and infrastructure sectors, where he regularly advises leading national and international clients. He is also a member of the firm’s China Desk.

Jorge Martín Sainz will be a partner in the Commercial Law practice and specialises in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), with a particular focus on advising private equity funds and all types of financial investors. He will also continue to develop the firm’s private equity practice.

Alvaro Sainz will be a partner in Banking and Finance at the London office. He specialises in complex debt restructuring, project finance, cross-border finance, debt analysis and distressed debt acquisitions/disposals.
