Chambers & Partners Europe

Our Financial Regulatory team boasts extensive experience in advising on regulatory aspects of financial entities supervised by the Bank of Spain, the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), and the Directorate General of Insurance and Pension Funds (DGSFP). Good examples include credit institutions, listed companies, insurance companies, investment services firms, collective investment institution managers, venture capital firms, and other regulated entities.

Our advice includes preparing queries and responses to information requests from regulators, as well as assisting in inspection processes and in sanctioning procedures initiated by them. We meticulously monitor all regulations being drafted at both national and European levels, as well as criteria issued by European supervisors (the European Central Bank, the European Banking Authority [EBA], the European Securities and Markets Authority [ESMA], or the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority [EIOPA]). This enables our clients to anticipate the impact that future regulations will have on their activities.

We conduct training courses or informative talks on regulatory novelties that will entail additional compliance obligations for entities. We have close alliances with European and international law firms that enable us to provide advice on financial regulation and its impact in numerous countries.

Our services include:

By the National Securities Market Commission, the Bank of Spain, and the Directorate General of Insurance and Pension Funds. Entities domiciled in Spain, branches, and entities providing cross-border services.
