GA_P adds two new partners in the Litigation area
28 of February, 2023
Gómez-Acebo & Pombo has added two new partners to the Litigation and Arbitration area: Almudena Larrañaga and Luis García del Río.
Luis García del Río is the number one Lawyer of the State of his promotion, having worked in the State Advocacies in Cáceres, Huelva and Madrid. During his career in the public sector, among other roles, he was appointed as an advisory member of the Minister of Environment’s Cabinet. In voluntary leave since February 1, 2001, he became Director of Legal Affairs at Repsol Butano, Director of Upstream and GNL Legal Services at the Repsol Group, creating the García del Río & Larrañaga firm in 2008 with Almudena Larrañaga. Luis has been an independent director of YPF and ENAGAS.
Almudena Larrañaga, who began her professional career in various international firms, was a member of the Legal Services of Repsol for ten years, first at Repsol Butano as responsible for contentious matters and later as responsible for Europe and North Africa in the Upstream and GNL Legal Affairs Directorate of the Group.
These additions are part of our inorganic growth plan and the objectives we have set for ourselves for 2023. With them, we aim to support the growth of an area that is key to the Firm’s project, especially in the field of advising listed groups and on international matters (mainly in Latin America and North Africa).
