GA_P advises Águas da Figueira on the concession agreement with the municipality of Figueira da Foz
Gómez-Acebo & Pombo advised Águas da Figueira, the concessionaire of Figueira da Foz’s water and sanitation system.
This 4th amendment results in the concession agreement signed with the municipality of Figueira da Foz, investing 21 million euros over 12 years, extending the duration of the concession until 2042.
Also noteworthy in this operation is the position adopted by ERSAR, the sector’s regulator, which confirmed for the first time an innovative legal understanding regarding the way in which the law currently in force applies to previous water and waste service concessions.
The team was led by Ana Luísa Guimarães, partner in Lisbon’s Public and Regulated Sectors practice.
