icon 3 July, 2026

Gómez-Acebo & Pombo advises Substrate AI on a financing round through the issuance of convertible bonds for a total amount of €39 million. The transaction includes the participation of the Spanish Society for Technological Transformation (SETT), which has invested €19.1 million through the Next Tech programme.

This financing aims to support the growth of Substrate AI,, a listed Spanish company specialised in artificial intelligence. In addition, it will help strengthen the development of strategic AI technologies for Spain and Europe.

The transaction combines public and private financing. It is also part of a broader strategy to support innovative technology companies with the capacity to lead the development of artificial intelligence-based solutions.

Supporting the development of artificial intelligence technologies

The investment will enable Substrate AI to further develop artificial intelligence solutions based on its own technology. The company has more than 200 employees and operates in sectors such as healthcare, industry and technology, where it applies AI solutions designed to improve processes, optimise resources and facilitate the adoption of new digital capabilities.

With this transaction, Gómez-Acebo & Pombo advises Substrate AI on a financing that contributes to the development of innovative technologies and to the strengthening of Spanish companies with growth potential in the field of artificial intelligence.
