Álvaro Mateo Sixto
Álvaro is a partner, Head of Corporate and M&A and member of the Board of Directors at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo.
Between 2015 and 2016, Álvaro was foreign associate to Cravath, Swaine & Moore.
Alvaros’s practice focuses on advising on complex and strategic M&A and private equity transactions, joint ventures, restructurings, and corporate law.
He holds a law degree from the University of Santiago de Compostela (Galicia, Spain) and the University of Salsbourg (Austria). He studied at the Academy of American and International Law, Southwestern Institute for International and Comparative Law, Dallas, USA.
Álvaro is recognised by Chambers & Partners and is one of the most active partners in M&A in Spain.
He has participated as an author or coauthor in several specialised legal publications.
