Daniel Marín
Daniel is a partner of Corporate and M&A and Head of Barcelona office at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo. Daniel is also a member of the Board of Directors of our Firm.
He specialises in mergers and acquisitions, advising strategic and financial buyers and sellers, restructuring transactions, acquisitions of companies in special situations, and in general investments in and from Spain. He is also one of the leading experts in the foreign investment market in Cuba, where he has led some of the main operations.
He holds a master’s degree in Law from ESADE Law School. He received his LL.M. from Columbia University in New York, where he was awarded with the Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar award for academic excellence. He has completed the Leadership in Law Firms program at Harvard Law School. He is qualified to practice law in Spain and New York and has passed the exams to practice law in England and Wales.
Ambassador for Spain of the American Bar Association, he is an academic collaborator of ESADE Law School in the field of strategic management.
Daniel is recognised in the prestigious legal directory Chambers & Partners as one of the leading practitioners in the areas of Corporate/Commercial (Barcelona), Corporate and M&A Law, General Business Law: International Firms – Cuba and Corporate/Commercial: International Firms.
He is a regular lecturer and has published several articles on mergers and acquisitions, foreign investment in Spain, investment in Cuba and corporate restructuring.
