The Fernando Pombo Foundation collaborates with the ‘Cuidamos Contigo’ project | ABC
‘Law has a fundamental role in the construction of a fairer and more egalitarian society’ is the maxim of our Foundation that accompanies us in our daily work.
Our Foundation collaborates with the project ‘Cuidamos Contigo’ because we believe that legal knowledge should be a real support tool. Our aim here is to make the law accessible and useful for non-professional care givers and people in a situation of dependency.
We work to ensure that Fernando Pombo’s legacy is translated into initiatives with a real impact, such as this important and necessary one. This impact is possible thanks to our collaborative network of more than 500 professionals, many of them pro bono lawyers from the Firm, students and professors from legal clinics at universities, companies and social organisations.

Resolved bank found liable as pledgee of third-party owned shares in the bank
The fiduciary nature of the managed investment relationship supports the view that the bank should be liable for the loss of the pledged item because there would not have been such loss had the client’s order been executed prior to the bank’s resolution — but not for the reason given in the judgment.
