    Employment Breakfasts 2025

We are pleased to invite you to a new edition of our Employment Breakfasts in Barcelona. On this occasion, we will take a look back at what 2025 has brought us so far and discuss the final stretch of the year.

With this aim, we will review the main legislative and case law developments that have emerged during 2025, as well as the potential regulatory reforms on the horizon and, more generally, the outlook for the coming months. We will focus in particular on issues such as: the preliminary hearing in disciplinary dismissal cases; additional compensation for unfair dismissal; permanent disability and the termination of the employment contract; and the practical procedural implications arising from the entry into force of Organic Law 1/2025.

We will also analyse the recently announced legal and regulatory reforms in highly relevant areas such as the reduction of working hours, working time recording, and the right to digital disconnection.

This session offers an essential update on the most relevant employment matters, aimed primarily at Employment Advisers, Heads of Legal Advisory Departments, HR/Talent/People Directors, and Labour Relations Managers.

How to Invest in Care Homes: A Growing Infrastructure

Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, in collaboration with Savills, is pleased to invite you to the event “How to Invest in Care Homes: A Growing Infrastructure”, which will take place on 6 November.

During this session, trends and investment opportunities in the care home sector will be analysed — a field in full expansion, driven by the rising demand for specialised health and social care services and by the growing interest of institutional capital in this type of asset. In addition, the main legal, tax, urban planning, and regulatory challenges will be addressed, along with the most relevant development and management strategies for this growing market.
