Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, together with Marsh, is pleased to invite you to a working breakfast to be held next Thursday 12 June at 09:15 h. Companies compete to recruit and retain talent. Therefore, even if they do not compete in the production and/or distribution of goods and services, firms may be competitors in the labour market. Competition authorities are showing an increasing interest in labour market agreements, investigating and sanctioning anti-competitive agreements, such as non-solicitation or wage-fixing agreements.
During the event, we will review the main developments in this area, providing practical ideas on how to identify the risks associated with these types of agreements and how to deal with them effectively. Speakers will share their experiences, offering a 360° view of the issue and approaching it from the perspective of the competition authority, in-house counsel and external counsel.
After the session, we will be pleased to invite you to the lunch organised by GA_P and ACC Europe.
Gómez-Acebo & Pombo is pleased to invite you to our upcoming webinar entitled: “Competition Inspections: Challenges, Risks, and Practical Recommendations.”
Dawn raids are one of the main tools used by competition authorities to detect anti-competitive behaviour within companies. These inspections can lead to severe penalties and reputational damage. The increasing activity of the CNMC and other competition authorities makes it essential for companies to stay informed and be well prepared to face such inspections. Moreover, it is vital to adopt the necessary measures to prevent infringements and ensure compliance with competition law internally.
During the webinar, we will cover key topics such as:
• Challenges: The main difficulties companies face during an inspection.
• Risks: Identifying and managing the risks associated with dawn raids.
• Practical Recommendations: Strategies and guidance to effectively prepare for and respond to a potential inspection.
Don’t miss the opportunity to gain valuable insights into how to be prepared in the event of a competition inspection. We look forward to seeing you there!

The reform of the Labour Code is transforming the present and shaping the future of professional relations. Gómez-Acebo & Pombo invites you to explore this challenge with us.
The need to adapt labour legislation to new challenges is today more pressing than ever. In this meeting, we will discuss the impact of these issues on people and business management and the (possible) mismatch between law and practice, with contributions from various stakeholders to foster an essential debate on the future of work in Portugal.

During this session, trends and investment opportunities in the care home sector will be analysed — a field in full expansion, driven by the rising demand for specialised health and social care services and by the growing interest of institutional capital in this type of asset. In addition, the main legal, tax, urban planning, and regulatory challenges will be addressed, along with the most relevant development and management strategies for this growing market.
In recent years, the CNMC’s activity in merger control has intensified and become stricter, impacting both operations and the companies involved. The recent decision in Curium/IRAB marked the first prohibition of a transaction in Spain in 20 years, but it is only one of many deals that have been abandoned in recent years due to the regulator’s demands.
During the webinar, we will discuss the current situation and its implications, focusing on:
- The CNMC’s high level of intervention.
- The increase in demanding and varied commitments and conditions.
- The CNMC’s close scrutiny and its consequences.
And, of course, we will cover practical recommendations for preparing and submitting a notification to the CNMC in the current context.
Don’t miss the opportunity to learn firsthand about the developments and lessons from 2024 and 2025 in merger control before the CNMC.
