icon 16 of May, 2023
The magazine Pontos de Vista published an article on the event addressing the essential aspects of the Decent Work Agenda, which took place in the Lisbon office of Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, with the participation of the firm’s labour law lawyers, Ana Gradiz Correia, coordinator, Inês Garcia Beato, senior associate and Ana Baptista Borges, associate.

Ana Gradiz Correia, coordinator of the labour area, states that “The Decent Work Agenda and the Valuing of Young People in the Labour Market will implement a set of measures that, in essence, aim to improve working conditions and allow greater conciliation between personal, family and professional life.”

Inês Garcia Beato, senior associate of the labour area, mentioned the topic of Outsourcing in the amendments, “Outsourcing in this Agenda had, on the one hand, a prohibition and, on the other hand, it tried to carry the greatest disadvantages to the providers that work in this regime”.

Ana Baptista Borges, associate from the labour area, speaks about the changes in this Agenda regarding the duties of information, “An example of this concerns the fixed-term contracts. Basically, what the legislator is doing here is to densify this obligation of information regarding the foreseeable duration of the uncertain term contract”.
